		<description>Yeah, basically it is a time of remembrance.  I have had the thoughts you describe.  It even conjures up an episode of Arthur where DW (Arthur&#039;s younger sister) never got to stay up until midnight, and when she did, she said that it was a drag.  For someone who does not really understand the point of New Year&#039;s, it can leave one bewildered.  But does not everyone sing that song of old acquaintance be forgotten and other stuff?  It could be any day of the year, but it is easiest when there is a number change in the calendar and the calendar is arranged that such a transition from top to bottom is big for anyone.</description>
