Privacy Policy

This policy was last modified on November 27, 2010.

Acceity respects the importance of your privacy. To that effect, Acceity does not require you to share any personal information unless you choose to post a comment at this site. If you do post a comment, you will need to submit three pieces of personal information: your name, your e-mail address, and your comment itself. You may also choose to submit a URL to your own blog or website. This privacy policy explains how Acceity will use each of these pieces of information.

Your E-Mail Address:

When is it collected?
An e-mail address is required only in order to post a comment.

Why is it collected?
Requiring an e-mail address discourages anonymous visitors from clogging the site with pointless or impolite comments. Also, your email address makes it easier for Acceity's author to contact you if there is a specific issue with your comment. However, neither Acceity nor its author will ever send unsolicited material, newsletters, or SPAM to your e-mail address.

Will it be shared?
No. Acceity and its author will never share or publicly display your e-mail address.

Your Name:

When is it collected?
Your name will be required only in order to post a comment. Please note that if you wish to comment without revealing your identity, you may enter a nickname or a pseudonym in place of your legal name.

Why is it collected?
It gives you credit for your comment.

Will it be shared?
Yes. The name you provide will be printed alongside your comment to give you credit for your contribution.

Your Comment:

When is it collected?
Acceity will only collect your comments when you choose to post them.

Why is it collected?
Comments allow you to share your questions, critiques, and reactions to the material posted at Acceity.

Will it be shared?
Yes. Your comment will be publicly displayed online for other visitors to read.

Your Website URL:

When is it collected?
A website URL is never required, but you have the option of sharing one when you post a comment.

Why is it collected?
It gives you an opportunity to share your website with visitors who may be interested in following up on your comment.

Will it be shared?
Yes! If you offer a website URL, visitors will be able to access that website by clicking the name you listed above your comment.

The terms of this policy are subject to change at any time. Policy changes will not affect any data which had already been collected, but they could affect the handling of data collected after a change is made. The most recent version of the privacy policy will always be available at this page (http://www.acceity.org/privacy/), and the date of the most recent policy change will be displayed near the top of the page. You will not be notified of policy modifications, so it is your responsibility to check this page for changes each time you submit new personal information to Acceity.
